LAO PDR

Paul Cargill and Jane Furniss have advised the Government of Lao PDR on legal aspects of hydropower projects since the 1990s, starting with the US$1.4 billion Nam Theun 2 Hydropower Project.

Paul Cargill

Principal

For much of his 40+ year career, Paul has been a leading international lawyer advising governments and corporations on the development, legal structuring and operation of large-scale power plants and oil and gas and mining projects. He has also represented international banks lending to these types of projects.

Jane Furniss

Principal

Jane Furniss is an Australian qualified lawyer with over 20 years’ experience in legal and commercial aspects of large energy, resources and infrastructure projects and in senior management, business and governance roles.
